Technical Advice (FAQ)

  1. How to make campsite arrival easier and avoid queues?
If you already have a reservation, we recommend completing an online check-in. This helps you avoid long waits at reception so you can park and start enjoying your trip right away.
  2. Where to refill water and what should you bring?
You can often refill water at smaller campsites or service areas. Always carry a set of different quick connectors – they’ll save you a lot of hassle when connecting.
  3. How to properly secure an awning against wind?
Always anchor your awning using tension straps. They cost almost nothing but can save you thousands. If you’re leaving for a trip and the weather might worsen, it’s better to retract the awning.
  4. What is a midday break and how does it affect arrival?
Most campsites have a fixed midday break (often between 12–2 PM) when check-in is not available. We recommend checking this in advance and planning accordingly (lunch, trip, etc.).
  5. How to deal with gas cylinder weight in your vehicle?
Traditional metal cylinders can be replaced with lighter composite ones – but expect a higher price (2 pcs approx. 11,000 CZK). A great alternative is annual rental for around 1,250 CZK. There are plenty of exchange points available.
  6. What do I need to connect to electricity at a campsite?
Get a camping adapter – not every power post has a standard socket. With the right adapter, you can connect safely without improvisation.
  7. Is it necessary to carry cash?
Yes! Some parking machines and smaller campsites don’t accept cards. We recommend always having some cash on hand.
  8. How to improve safety inside your vehicle?
Get a gas detector. It detects propane-butane, CO, and anesthetic gases – significantly increasing crew safety. For example, the Linnepe TriGasAlarm model is a good choice
  9. What shouldn’t be missing in your night gear?
A headlamp! When fixing something or searching in the dark, you need both hands free. A small thing that makes a big difference. 😊
